KENSAYE
Kensaye is a London-based music producer, DJ, and percussionist whose work fuses Afro-Caribbean rhythms with Hip Hop and Electronic music, drawing deep inspiration from his Haitian heritage.
His production portfolio spans collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists including King Promise and Falz, scoring for cinema, television, and Netflix, and a commissioned sound design project for Output's AfroPop rollout. His music has earned radio play worldwide, and he has captivated audiences across the UK and Europe as a live performer.
Equally committed to music's transformative power in community settings, Kensaye is a respected educator trained to work with trauma survivors, delivering workshops in schools, Pupil Referral Units, detention centres, and refugee initiatives. In 2021, he secured Arts Council funding alongside Music Action International to produce and release an EP with young refugees. For Kensaye, music has always been more than entertainment: "Music is more than just something to zone out to. I like the idea of music engaging people, helping them think, helping them want to change reality. Music can be a powerful weapon to change things in some ways."
